Tony Ganios, the actor famous for his roles in The Wanderers and ‘Porky’s, has sadly died at the age of 64 following a heart attack.
His fiancee Amanda Serrano revealed that Tony died in a New York City hospital on Sunday where he was admitted after feeling unwell “for days.”
According to TMZ, the star was then rushed to the emergency room with a spinal cord infection but suffered a fatal heart attack while he was recovering the following day.
Going into more detail, Amanda disclosed that his death was sudden and has left her feeling “crushed.”
As tributes poured in from fans, Amanda honored him with a touching photo of them holding hands and unveiled their last words to one another in a separate post.

Taking to X, she shared: “The last words we said to each other were ‘I love you.’ Love is an understatement. You are everything to me. My heart, my soul and my best friend. #I love you #tonyganios.”
In the comments, fans remembered Tony including @_GreenMachine_ who wrote: “So sorry for your loss. He gave us some great memories through his films. God bless.”
After venturing into acting at 18, Tony became known for his roles in 1980s teen comedies and action movies and gained prominence for his portrayal of tough, muscular characters.
Tony made his film debut in Phillip Kaufman’s The Wanderers where he starred as Perry, one of the tough guys from the Bronx’s Italian-American streets,

The actor then landed a recurring role in the 1987 Emmy-Award-winning crime series Wisegys as the mob lawyer, Mike ‘Mooch’ Cacciatore.
However, he gained recognition for his portrayal of Anthony “Meat” Tuperello in the comedy film, Porky’s which was followed by two sequels in 1983 and 1985.
Despite his decision to step back from the entertainment industry, Ganios’ fortune was estimated at almost $1 million according to IdolNetWorth.
